Catechism learning at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, continues this Sunday, January 11. Both our preschool and elementary classes will jump back into their Catechism lessons, so be reviewing the questions and answers with your children this week, parents. Bring your children this Sunday at 9:15 am to the Children’s Room for a time of music with Ms. Lauren before elementary kids are dismissed to their classroom next door.
As a reminder, read about the journey of our Redeemer Kids program. This year 2014-2015 our kids are learning The Catechism, which is a way to package large truths about God in easy-to-memorize questions and answers, fulfilling the knowledge and Lord portion of our Redeemer Kids verse.
…grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. II Peter 3:18
After a successful recitation in the worship service back in November 2014, our Preschool Redeemer Kids will begin a new unit this Sunday with their Catechism questions focusing on Scripture. Our Elementary Redeemer Kids will continue their first unit of questions, preparing to give their recitation during the worship service in the coming weeks. As we did last fall, we’ll give updates each week here on the Blog about what our children learned, what Catechism questions they should be learning, and how you can teach these truths to your children.
Many of our teachers this year will be new to teaching in the Redeemer Kids program, so please be praying for our new teachers–and thank them for their willingness to serve the littlest in our church family! Contact Tiffany Koch our Children’s Ministry Coordinator with any questions or concerns.
