Join the youth of Redeemer (grades 6-12) and youth from five other Charleston-area PCA churches on Sunday, September 4 at Metro North Church (109 Central Ave., 29445) from 5-7 pm. Check out pictures from events last spring, and join in the fun this semester!
Join us this Sunday, August 14 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, for the start of our new Christian-education semester beginning at 9:15 am. From our littlest Redeemer Kids to our adults, our church family will be studying The Story of Jesus through the Gospel of John and other Gospels. For children under 3 years, there’s a nursery provided.
Redeemer Kids are beginning The Story of Jesus, using the Gospels, Scripture memory, and storytelling. Children ages 3-11 will meet in the Fellowship Hall. Read the August newsletter from the Children’s Committee for details about the class.
Our Youth classes for middle school and high school students will also be looking at the life of Jesus through studying the Gospel of John. These classes will meet in the conference rooms on the second floor of the Education Building. Read the August newsletter of Youth Ministry News for details about the class.
For adults we’re offering two classes both studying the Gospel of John. One class, led by Tony Paladino and Jason Dolinski, will meet in the sanctuary for study and discussion looking at the abundant life we have in Jesus.
The second class, led by Kurt Brewer, Jared Carlson, and Ken Harmon, will meet in the Land Trust’s conference room on the first floor of the Education Building. This workshop-style class is designed to help participants learn key Bible study principles for both personal study and group leadership. Using the book of John as the text, the class will include a healthy dose of interaction, coaching, and even some homework–all leading to the creation of your very own written Bible study. Due to space limitations, we can only offer a few remaining spots. Email Kurt to inquire further.
Join our church family this Sunday, June 26 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, for a special presentation of The Story of God in the sanctuary at 5:30 pm. Our children and youth have journeyed this past year through the story of God in the Bible, and now they want to share with us what they’ve learned. Come hear the faithfulness of the Lord told through our children using Scripture, songs, and poems. We’ll enjoy a reception following the presentation, so bring a yummy finger food to share!
Last Sunday the youth in grades 6-12 from Redeemer and other Charleston-area PCA churches gathered at Eastbridge Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC, for the third event of the Lowcountry Youth Group. The youth enjoyed crowd-favorite games, a hotdog supper, and a meaningful praise and worship time.
Though the Lowcountry Youth Group will take a break for the summer and resume in September, Redeemer’s youth will continue gathering for fellowship events during the summer months. Plus there are two great Christian-education classes offered on Sunday mornings for youth!
At Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, our Christian-education hour that begins on Sunday mornings at 9:15 offers classes for all ages.
For this Sunday, May 1 our youth (both middle school and senior high) will begin a series titled What Disciples Do where they’ll be studying the book of Acts and learning what the Lord teaches us about serving as His disciples. Each week, we will focus on missions as our youth learn about, intercede for, and correspond with Redeemer’s missionaries. Additionally, we will focus on prayer as our youth learn how to pray for and with one another. The youth meet in the conference rooms on the second floor of the Education Building.
Our Redeemer Kids (ages 3K through 5th grade) will review our fall and spring series titled The Story of God for the next few weeks. Our little children will meet in the Fellowship Hall, which provides plenty of space for snacks, games, and story-telling time.
For this Sunday, May 1 our adults will have a time to ask questions of and get to know our current deacon candidates before voting the following Sunday morning. Then the adults will begin a new series next Sunday, May 8 titled The Missionary Journeys of Paul. Our adults gather in the sanctuary, and coffee is offered in the foyer of the sanctuary.
We offer a nursery for ages 3 and under during this Christian-ed. hour, so parents can enjoy the discussion in the adult class. Bring your family and join us for these new series of classes beginning in May at 9:15 am!
