Last night the men of Redeemer gathered for food, fellowship, and worship. Men of different community groups across the Charleston area came together for an evening meal in our Fellowship Hall. It was a great evening of getting to know men from other community groups and talking with one another outside of Sunday morning. Thanks to all the men who made this evening possible!
At the end of April our Redeemer Kids enjoyed a fun night at the church which included a “drive-in movie” with popcorn and snacks, outdoor games, and a field trip to the Meeting Street Fire Station. Many of our adults and youth worked our Parents’ Night Out event, so our parents could have a few hours by themselves for a nice meal downtown or some shopping.
The field trip to the Fire Station was a huge hit! The kids had tons of good questions, and the firefighters were delightful hosts to take on our crew. A huge THANK YOU to the adults and youth who made this fun night possible!!
What an awesome joint service with our neighbors at St. John’s Reformed Episcopal Church! Our congregations joined this past Sunday, April 29 for our third joint service. Rev. Willie Hill from St. John’s preached from Matthew 9:1-9, and our choirs combined to sing some amazing hymns. Listen to the whole sermon here.
Join our church family after our worship service on Sunday, May 6 for a picnic lunch at Mt. Pleasant’s Memorial Waterfront Park (99 Harry M. Hallman, Jr. Blvd., 29464). Bring a picnic lunch for your family, a blanket and chairs, and a football or frisbee. There’s plenty of green space and shade, wide open spaces, and playgrounds for older kids and younger. Come enjoy Redeemer friends and families for fellowship and fun!

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26-28
Afterwards we’ll enjoy desserts, sandwiches, and coffee at a reception in our Fellowship Hall as we get to know our neighbors. Join us for worship–across cultures, races, and denominations!
