Rejoice at the generosity of our fellow churches! At the women’s retreat last weekend, we told of our financial need and our impending deadline. Our hearts have been encouraged as we’ve received $500 and $1000 checks from sister churches in small towns all around South Carolina, like Winnsboro and Blair. Today, we received $3,000 in cash as part of a $10,000 pledge from a wonderful former St. Andrew’s member.
We need to raise $580,000 more over the next two weeks, so please pray fervently for the Lord to provide–as each one of us does his part. Please ask friends and family to partner with us in keeping this 173-year-old church a church. (It is always good to ask folks to prayerfully consider a specific amount, like $1000, or whatever you feel is appropriate.)
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED: Please send your pledged contribution (or as much of it as possible, if it is pledged over three years), so we will have the cash necessary to close on the church property 15 days from now.
Pray this week that:
- Other churches and the potential major donors we are reaching out to will respond positively and give generously
Pastor Craig’s new October sermon series that focuses on faithfully expecting big things from God continued this past Sunday. We encourage you to listen to the sermon online, especially if you missed it. Also, read Craig’s personal letter to the congregation describing the sermon series.
