Our Epic Kickoff Sunday last week at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, boasted big crowds, gorgeous weather, and a delightful picnic luncheon on the grounds. Lots of folks enjoyed the potluck breakfast, and we heard the vision for the upcoming year.
Redeemer is committed to building strength into the home life of our people. We want to help parents teach their children at home, and our new Christian-education vision is that the home be at the heart of learning. Sunday morning will be a celebration of the story you already taught–not a classroom. We’ll merely be reinforcing in an active group setting what you have already taught at home. Here’s the handout that was given out last week. Use it for teaching and learning with your children this week, and during the Christian-ed. hour on Sunday, September 20 our teachers will reinforce what your children have already heard this week at home.
During the worship service, we heard quick introductions from community group leaders and hosts inviting everyone to join a community group. Get more information here about community groups at Redeemer.
Following the service, we served a picnic lunch in the courtyard. Check out some pictures from our Epic Kickoff Sunday.
