On Sunday, October 14 our senior pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, continued preaching on the final Beatitude in Matthew 5:1-12 with part two of his sermon on that passage. In Part 1 last week, he explained that persecution is a clash between two kingdoms, and this week he focused on how when persecution comes into our lives, it must be for the right reasons. Persecution comes because of our righteous character, and being righteous is being like Christ. Jesus was persecuted because he was different from the religious leaders of his day. So when persecution comes in this life, trust that the Lord will meet you there. Listen to the whole sermon online here.
