Join the men of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, and other downtown churches for the First Wednesday Luncheon at St. Philip’s Parish Hall on Wednesday, May 6 at noon. This event is great time to invite friends or coworkers to have lunch together and hear a guest speaker. May’s event is the last luncheon before their summer break; luncheons will resume in September.
Out on beautiful Wadmalaw Island, the men of Redeemer pitched their tents along Bohicket Creek last weekend for an evening of fun and fellowship–with kids included. Between boat rides and treehouse climbs, the kids enjoyed camping with the men.
Redeemer’s men will camp again this spring on Wadmalaw Island with plenty of grilling, skeet-shooting, boating, playing, and fishing to make the event relaxing and fun. Make plans now to join the men beginning at noon on Friday, May 30 through the afternoon of Saturday, May 31, and RSVP to Todd Christian to ensure you’ll get all the details. Tyler Martin, one of our deacons, enjoyed the camping event last year:
Best part of the trip was getting to know brothers at Redeemer on a deeper level and studying the Word/discussing what it means to be a man after God’s own heart. A time to discover new talents, interests, or struggles that you may share with those who sit next to you on Sundays. I love experiencing God’s creation up close and personal. I need the friendship and accountability of other Godly men, and I need to get revenge in Capture The Flag.
This year children are invited to accompany their fathers for this camping event, and feel free to invite friends and neighbors, too. Tyler recommends camping with Redeemer for two reasons: “If you are looking to get more plugged in and know members of your church family on a deeper level. If you like shooting guns and not showering for 2 days.” For men and kids alike–what could be better?
