What an awesome Sunday with the little children! Our Preschool Redeemer Kids made lion masks and pretended to be hungry lions, as we continued our story about Daniel and his experience with the lions’ den. We learned that God is more powerful than even the king of beasts! During the worship service, our preschoolers recited their first 13 Catechism answers, and the children did a wonderful job. They’ve worked so hard; thank you, parents, for working with them! Our Elementary Redeemer Kids will have the opportunity in a few months to recite their Catechism answers, so don’t forget to review over the holidays.
For this Sunday, November 23 both classes will enjoy a special Thanksgiving lesson. During Advent this year which begins on Sunday, November 30, we’re trying something new for our Christian-Ed. classes, so we hope you’ll join our church family as we celebrate Advent all together the four Sundays before Christmas. Get the details about our Advent plans here.
On the Sundays after Christmas and New Year’s Day (December 28 and January 4), we will not have any classes during the Christian-Ed. hour, since many of our attendees and teachers will be traveling during the holidays. Just join us for worship those Sundays at 10:30 am. (There will be a nursery for ages 3 and under provided during the worship service on those Sundays, but NO Children’s Church during the sermon.)
Then bring your children back on Sunday, January 11 ready to start their new Catechism learning during the Christian-Ed. hour beginning at 9:15 am.
