Such a fun event for the women of Redeemer and a few friends! Last Friday the women of Redeemer gathered for fun and fellowship–and to exchange clothes, accessories, and shoes. This Sip & Swap brought together women from all our different community groups around the Charleston area.
Our women at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, gathered last Saturday for a time of fellowship and connection with other women. Then we enjoyed worship with songs and prayer times for our church and community. We heard women share about how Redeemer’s women’s ministry has impacted them and their families. We heard information about staying informed through the weekly email newsletter and studying the Word through neighborhood Bible studies for women. Then we entered into worship and prayer, being led through prayer using the ACTS Prayer Guide.
Maybe you like yours with cream and sugar, or maybe you like a little cream and sugar with a splash of coffee. 😉 I like mine black, but do you know what makes coffee awesome!?! Women to talk to while I’m drinking it! I love to share conversation over coffee.
Maybe you’re not a coffee drinker, and you prefer hot tea. Either way we’re providing an awesome opportunity for Redeemer women THIS Saturday, August 25 at 9 am in our beautiful Fellowship Hall.
Coffee, breakfast nibbles, and adult conversation with women! We’re planning some fellowship time, then guided prayer for our families, schools, church, and community. We’ll also highlight all the things for women that Redeemer offers this fall, so come have coffee with us on Saturday!
Join the women of Redeemer for a morning of fellowship and prayer in our beautiful Fellowship Hall on Saturday, August 25 from 9-11:30 am! We’ll have a time of connection and then guided prayer. We hope you’ll come pray with us: for our families, a new school year, our marriages, our community groups, our leaders at Redeemer, our neighborhoods, and our world. RSVP using this quick form, so we can plan enough food and materials. We look forward to seeing you Saturday!
At Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, our next women’s opportunity is Saturday, August 25 in our beautiful Fellowship Hall at 9 – 11:30. We’re gathering for fellowship and prayer, so whether you’re new to Redeemer, extroverted, introverted, or whatever–this morning is for you.
Get to know other ladies in the church and learn more about women’s ministry opportunities and events we have planned throughout the year. We will also spend time praying together. Praying for our church, our families, and our city. Sisterhood in Christ is a beautiful thing. And we want to help cultivate that precious sisterhood through fellowship and prayer.
So please join us. You’ll be glad you did.
But you know the thing that brings us back week after week? It’s community. Experiencing community week after week, year after year with our fellow believers. And you know, I believe it’s the same for each of you.
Because those things I first mentioned, the preaching, the music, we can experience those things individually from our homes, our cars…..alone. But when believers gather together, hearing the preaching of the Word, raising our voices together, there is something extraordinary that happens. It’s medicine for my soul.
Now you’re asking: Wasn’t she supposed to talk about the women’s retreat? What does any of this have to do with women going to Myrtle Beach? And my answer is….Everything.
Ladies, I want to invite you to a special weekend where we, as women, will hear the Word and worship–together in community. Now I know for some of you, a weekend away with a bunch of women can sound overwhelming. But God made you and made community for you too. I promise there are plenty of moments of quiet and opportunities for alone time. It’s not all late-night chats, and laughter, and ugly crying.
And, men, please encourage the women in your life to go. Help free their schedules.
Details are here. We look forward to spending the weekend away with you.
