Expectations for Easter | Sermon, Apr. 21

Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Charleston, SC

At Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, we gathered on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, to celebrate the Risen Christ. Our senior pastor led us through Matthew 26:57-68, encouraging us that Jesus has great expectations for us this Easter.

  1. That we’d trust him in the silences. We don’t know what Jesus is accomplishing in the silences of our lives, so we must keep his Resurrection ever before us.
  2. That when Jesus does speak, our future puts our present in the proper perspective.
  3. That a vision of the Resurrection makes us more like Jesus. When our eyes are on the Resurrected Jesus, we become more like him.
