Missionary Sharing-Time on Sun., Nov. 10: During the Equip Hour on Sunday, November 10 beginning at 9:15 am, Zach Slagel will be giving updates and sharing about the new country that he, Noelle, and their family will be serving in. Join the missions committee and the adult Equip class in the Fellowship Hall to hear from Zach about their new adventure.

Christmas Events: Mark your calendars for our
1) Children’s Christmas Celebration on Sunday morning, December 8. Pictures from last year’s Celebration!
2) Christmas Party & Talent Show on Sunday evening, December 15 in our Fellowship Hall. This party is our big one of the year! It’s for the whole family and a favorite! More details to come.
3) Christmas Eve Service on Tuesday evening, December 24 in our sanctuary. This beautiful service usually attracts many visitors!

New Season of Community Groups: A new season of Community Groups is here! (Here’s basic CG info on our website.) Joining a community group is a seasonal commitment from September to May each year toward 1) regular attendance, 2) trust, and 3) transparency as the church is scattered into its neighborhoods in between Sundays (when we gather together downtown to worship). We seek to better understand who God is and to explore the incarnation of that truth through the lives of each CG member. We do this by eating a meal together each week, praying together, exploring Scripture, and then also reaching out to neighbors in love and prayer. Our groups are launching this week! Contact Yates Jarvis or Gray Morgan to be added into the plans and connected to a CG for the new season.

Weekly and Monthly Events

Community Groups: Community Groups are the main ministry of Redeemer outside of Sunday morning. These groups are like “house churches” where we want to live in community with each other like Luke writes about in Acts 2:42-47 because we’re a family on mission together. Find more info here.

Women’s Bible Studies: At Redeemer our women’s Bible studies form through our community groups that meet around the Charleston area. So we have several Bible studies continuing this winter/spring semester that are sprinkled around Charleston. Find a current list here.

Equip Hour on Sundays at 9:15 am: Like Sunday School and Christian education, our Equip Hour offers classes for adults, youth, and children prior to our worship service. Last fall we renamed our Christian Education hour to Equip. This small change is to make clear that the purpose of this hour is not to simply be educated, but rather to be equipped to live out being a Family On Mission TogetherFind specific information about our Equip classes for all ages here.

First Wednesday Men’s Luncheon at noon at St. Philip’s Church: Join the men of Redeemer and other downtown churches on the first Wednesday of each month for the First Wednesday Luncheon at St. Philip’s Parish Hall. Come enjoy good food with a requested donation of $10, plus hear a guest speaker each month.

Women’s Prayer Watch on Second Saturday at 7:30 am at RPC: The Lord has delivered us so that we may take an active role in seeing His Kingdom grow here in Charleston. If your heart desires to cry out to the Lord for Redeemer–its leaders, ministries, missionaries, marriages, young adults at school and home, our neighborhood, city, nation, and the church universal, come join us the second Saturday of every month at 7:30 am in Craig’s office on the second floor of the Education Building. Contact Debbie McDowell at 609-217-3170 to let her know you’re coming and to get reminder texts about these prayer times.
