Start here for information about Redeemer–whether you’re new to Charleston, just visiting for the weekend, or looking for a new church family. We’re glad you’re thinking of worshiping with us this Sunday morning!
WORSHIP ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
With solid Biblical preaching and a friendly community of believers, we blend the traditional with the modern, singing old hymns set to new tunes beneath the glow of century-old stained glass. Our historic sanctuary is located downtown in Ansonborough (43 Wentworth St. Charleston, SC, 29401), and we’re a church located near the port of Charleston. Our deep-red doors and wrought-iron gates mark the way into the sanctuary, and one of our friendly greeters will welcome you on the portico.
Our one worship service begins at 10 on Sunday mornings and lasts usually an hour and 15 minutes. We provide nurseries for infants and toddlers up to age 3 with friendly, knowledgeable volunteers from among our church members. We encourage parents to train their children to worship together as a family at as early an age as possible; however, we do offer Children’s Worship for children (3K-5K) during the sermon which includes a Jesus Storybook Bible video for about 10 minutes, a craft, a snack, and some free play time.
Read our latest Sunday morning blog post for this Sunday’s sermon passage, song selections, electronic bulletin, and other tidbits for helping you stay informed about what’s happening at Redeemer this Sunday.
Our Equip Hour (similar to Sunday School and Christian Education) with classes for kids and adults follows our worship service. We seek to build strong families, so we use this time to pour into the lives of our children through age-appropriate learning.
Whether you’re casually dressed or in your “Sunday best,” you’ll fit right in at Redeemer. We hope you feel welcomed and loved as we worship our great God together.
