Weddings at Redeemer
Our beautiful historic church building is nestled in one of Charleston's charming, tree-lined streets, surrounded by historic homes and gorgeous gardens. Wood details and charming courtyards make it a lovely venue for wedding ceremonies. We are delighted to share our building with both members and non-members.
Our Sanctuary
Redeemer's sanctuary is able to accommodate weddings of any size, from elopements to guest lists of 350. Impressive stained glass windows and hard-carved balconies provide the perfect backdrop for your special day. Additional features include wooden pews, a baby grand piano, a historic Hook and Hastings pipe organ, and two charming garden areas.
Event Hall AND Courtyard
Our newly renovated Event Hall in the building next door is available for rehearsal dinners and receptions for up to 250 guests. The event hall features wood floors, vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, huge windows, and lovely architectural details. The garden courtyard may also be rented for outdoor receptions.

Add-ons + Misc
• OFFICIANT: Please plan to provide your own officiant.
• PREMARITAL COUNSELING: We strongly recommend that you go through premarital counseling with your pastor. We also recommend you read these books: What Did You Expect by Paul Tripp, For Men Only and For Women Only by Jeff and Shaunti Feldhahn, and The Meaning of Marriage by Tim Keller.
• MUSICIANS: You may hire your own musicians, use recorded music, or hire one of our talented musicians to play the piano, organ, violin or trumpet . Please email weddings@redeemer-charleston.org for availability and pricing.
*Our organist/pianist charges a flat fee of $450.
• NON-MEMBERS: Non-members are welcome to be married at Redeemer, so long as nothing about the ceremony or marriage disrespects or contradicts the Christian faith of our Presbyterian congregation.
• PHOTOGRAPHY: You may use flash photography and videography. Please be respectful and discreet during the ceremony.
• CATERING: You are welcome to bring your own caterer.
• FLORALS: We are happy to give recommendations for florists in the area.
• RECEPTION COORDINATOR: You must have a designated coordinator for any dinners at the church.
• WEDDING COORDINATOR: Your coordinator or planner may work with the Wedding Director to direct the ceremony, or you can simply use the church Wedding Director.
• ALCOHOL: Champagne and wine for ceremonial toasting are the only alcoholic beverages that may be served at receptions. Wine for communion may be served in the sanctuary.

Once the date is confirmed, review our policies and complete the Wedding Reservation Form.

Submit the deposit for the wedding here . Provide a copy of your I.D. (driver's license) to the Wedding Director.

Final payment will be due 90 days before the wedding. The wedding director send you a checklist of when additional forms/documents are due.
